Each unit measures 5 meters in length, and adjacent units are interconnected via flexible joints using high-strength rubber-composite belts. When fully raised, the gate maintains a specific angle relative to the horizontal plane, thereby ensuring that the gate structure is capable of collapsing (folding down) under its own weight. To enhance protection of the air bladder during collapse, the gate plate is designed with a specific curvature. Under normal operating conditions, the pneumatic shield-type rubber dam permits overflow across its crest, creating an aesthetic water landscape. To prevent the gate body from tipping upstream—particularly when downstream water levels are high or under the influence of wind forces—foldable safety restraint belts are installed on the downstream side of the gate; these restraint belts are fabricated from high-strength synthetic rubber.
