The Shoreline Oil Boom is a novel type of oil-spill response equipment designed to contain oil—of varying viscosities—that has been washed ashore by tidal fluctuations; it can also be used to contain oil spills on dry land. Its primary function is to prevent the further spread of spilled oil across shorelines and land areas; it is suitable for both permanent deployment and emergency response operations.
This product is primarily deployed along riverbanks or coastal beaches characterized by tidal activity and the interface between water and land; it may also be utilized independently for land-based applications.
**Product Structure:**
The structure of the Shoreline Oil Boom consists of a main body fabricated from either rubberized nylon fabric or PVC fabric. The upper section features an inflatable air chamber, while the lower section incorporates two water-filled ballast chambers. These three chambers are arranged in a triangular configuration to ensure adequate containment height and meet the buoyancy requirements for the submerged portion of the boom. The boom's extremities are fitted with connecting components and quick-release couplings.
Each section of the Shoreline Oil Boom measures either 10 meters or 20 meters in length. Both ends are equipped with standard quick-release couplings, allowing individual sections to be interconnected using a hook-and-loop style rapid connection system.
